The Orion 930 Dual Depth Pinless Wood Moisture Meter was designed for professional wood flooring installers/inspectors, quality control managers as well as serious woodworkers, artisans, and fabricators who need superior accuracy, versatility, and ruggedness in their critical moisture measurement instruments.

Dual Depth Measurements
The Orion 930 Dual Depth Pinless Moisture Meter combines the Deep and Shallow readings into one Dual Depth mode. This mode provides readings at ¼” and ¾” depth modes to measure the moisture content of thin samples such as wood floors or deeper into thick wood samples to find moisture further into the wood. In ¼” mode the meter will read the moisture content from the surface level down to .25” (6mm). In ¾” mode the meter’s IntelliSense™ technology will be activated and the meter will begin to disregard surface moisture.
IntelliSense™ Technology
The Orion 930 pinless wood moisture meter incorporates IntelliSense™ technology into its ¾” deep reading mode. This enables accurate determination of the moisture content deeper in the wood while minimizing the effect that surface moisture will have on the meter readings. Pin-type meters may be able to bypass the surface conditions, but they also damage the surface of the wood every time you take a reading. Air humidity, condensation, or other ambient conditions can impact many moisture meters and give inaccurate readings that cost you money.
