Calibration Service Training

Our service technicians at Imbotec Group were last trained by the factory to calibrate, certify and repair glossmeters (gloss meters) in 2007 for all of North America (U.S.A., Canada and Mexico).  Our Tiles are certified to BAM Standards.

Turnaround Time for Glossmeter Calibration

48 Hours: Normal turnaround times are within 2 days or sooner.

6 Hours: For emergencies, we can be ready and offer a turnaround for a glossmeter calibration and certification within 6 hours from receipt of your gloss meter. We will require certain standard conditions to be met like a 9AM delivery of your glossmeter, the customer’s courier account and to be assured that your glossmeter will not require any repairs, just a calibration and certification. We will then proceed with drift, linearity and calibration on a set of BAM approved tiles.

The Factory has provided us the necessary tools for proper Calibration and Certification. Ask our competitors if they have the following that we have.

Series of Standards – Certified Standards

A series of gloss tile standards certified to BAM Standards from 0GU to 2000GU to provide linear Calibrations & Certifications. The Gloss tiles permit us to determine the gloss meter linearity response and Accuracy. Our tiles are made to measure in the below 10GU, 35GU, 70GU, 95 GU and 2000GU ranges. Do others have this, probably not? Others will have 1 or 2 tiles at most.

Angle of Measurement (20-60-75-85)

Gloss meters are checked for light path angle accuracy, misalignment and then corrected to the tightest tolerance permitted by the gloss meter. Others certainly do not check this as they do not have the proper jigs to accomplish this.
